Function: The stairwell facilitated vertical traffic. The steps have a standard height of 20 cm. Given the height of the Forehouse of 4 meters there were 20 steps of 20 cm. each. This stairwell has been indicated on the architectural plan by Zantkuijl (2001), but is not mentioned in the 1676 inventory.
